Departmental Profile
- The Department of Education of Amdanga Jugal Kishore Mahavidyalaya has started its journey since 2011- 2012 academic year. Education was a general subject in the beginning. The department obtained affiliation for introducing Education as an Honours Subject in 2016-2017 under West Bengal State University. Since then the Department of Education has been presenting a perfect instance of teaching and learning for the students. The Department arranges Educational Excursion (once in a year), Smart Class, Skill Development Based Activities and what attracts more attention is that special classes are provided to the weaker students by departmental faculties. To add to its acclaim, Guidance and Counseling to the students, Group Discussions, Interactive classes are also held as and when required.
- An attractive number of books of latest publication adorn the Central library and Departmental library of the college. Teachers as well as students can study in the academic ambience of the Central Library. Students and teachers can also access the help of the books from the Departmental Library.
- Education being an inter-disciplinary subject absorbs matter in a purposive, conscious or unconscious, psychological, sociological, scientific and philosophical process, bringing about the development of the individual to the fullest extent and also the maximum development of society in such a way that both enjoy maximum happiness and prosperity. Since it is inter-disciplinary, it has its doors open towards the world of knowledge. The student- friendly faculty of the Department of Education has always given special attention and encouragement to the students for achieving good academic performance and a great opportunity for creating a capable and promising future for themselves as well as for their motherland.
